REMINDER that the week of October 26th - October 30th is E-Learning for high school students.  We will see you back in school on Monday, November 2nd!

Any student that plans on participating in the Scholastic Arts and Writing Competition but has yet to create their account needs to get started.   Again, all high school students are eligible.  You would submit all information, upload work and pay online. Any student interested in participating in the PHS Academic Super Bowl team is invited to the LGI room TODAY after school, 3:15pm.  The subjects include English, Fine Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.  Last year the team was undefeated and we look forward to familiar faces and new faces being part of the team this year.  If you cannot make the meeting then contact Mr. Peters or one of the coaches.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Lady Quakers volleyball team for their win in 3 sets over Terre Haute North in the opening round of Sectional play last night.  They will compete against Avon in Round #2 on Saturday.

Our PHS Boys Soccer team is SECTIONAL CHAMPS!!  This is the first ever sectional championship since class divided soccer, and the first since 2004!  Congratulations to the team and Coach Sheppard!

The boys and girls cross country teams ran in Sectionals on Saturday.  Emerson Nehring placed 3rd with a GREAT race, and Caden McClure finished in the top 10 for the boys.  Veronica Hargrave and Addison Dockery both finished in the top 10 as well for the girls.  

Congratulations to the Quaker Shaker Newsmagazine & Silhouettes Yearbooks staffs on their selection of the Hoosier Star Award winners!

The girls soccer season ended last night, with the 0-1 loss against Brownsburg.  They end the season 14-3-1.  Definitely had a GREAT season! Be proud and keep those heads held high ladies!

Great wins by JV and Varsity against Western Boone last night!  C-team finished the regular season 15-5.

Congratulations to the varsity volleyball team for their win over Whiteland last night, making our Lady Quakers CONFERENCE CHAMPS!!  The JV squad also came out with a win last night as well!

The girls soccer team showed up and shut out Ben Davis 7-0 in their opening round of Sectional play last night.  The Quakers will advance to Round #2 tomorrow against Brownsburg!  GREAT JOB LADIES!

Congratulations to the varsity football team for their win 48-37 over Franklin Friday night!  Friday’s win moves the team to 4-3 on the season.

After winning their first round in Sectionals, the boys tennis team matched up against Brownsburg on Saturday.  They couldn’t quite get the job done, but should be very proud of their excellent season with a young team.  Looking forward to next season!!

Congratulations to sophomore Laney Moore! Laney answered questions in the What's Up Wednesday Poll on September 30th. Her name was randomly chosen from all of those who responded to the question about new things learned during the quarantine. Laney won a Target gift card for her participation. Keep answering those poll questions -- next time, YOU could be a winner!

JV girls soccer ended with a final score 0-0 against Avon last night.  In the final home game of the season, the varsity team took down #20 Avon 1-0.  They will have their last regular season match tomorrow at Franklin before Sectionals start next week.

The track pre-season practice scheduled for tonight at 7:00pm has been canceled.

Cross country came away with a 2nd place finish for the boys and a 3rd place finish for the girls at the Mid-State Conference meet on Saturday.

JV girls soccer defeated Terre Haute North 3-0 on Saturday.  Well played, ladies!

The Varsity girls soccer team finished 0-0 on Saturday against Greenwood Christian.  They had several opportunities, but just couldn’t find the back of the net.  Lots of girls stepped up and got quality minutes with 7 starters missing.  They move to 11-2-1.

The girls golf team ended the season with an 8th place finish out of 18 teams at Regionals.  Great season ladies!

Congratulations to the varsity boys soccer team for their 6-0 win over Decatur Central last night.  They move to 9-1-4 and record their 10th shutout of the year, only allowing 4 goals all year!!  The boys will clinch a share of the Mid State Conference!

The freshman volleyball team defeated Pike in straight sets last night and the JV volleyball team won in two sets as well over Terre Haute South.  Great job ladies!!

Varsity volleyball battled it out last night.  They came out and won the first two sets, but THS came back and won the next two.  They went on to play a 5th set, but the Braves won the deciding set 15-9.  Way to stay in it girls!

Great games last night in girls soccer!  Both JV and varsity won over Decatur Central, moving the varsity team to 11-2 overall, and 6-0 in the Mid State Conference.

Congratulations to the volleyball teams for their wins last night.  The freshmen team defeated Cascade, and JV & varsity won over Decatur Central.  The varsity moves to 16-4 and 4-1 in the conference.  

Football tickets for this Friday’s Homecoming game are only currently available to football, cheer, dance, and homecoming court.  Any available tickets, after 2:00pm TODAY, will be made available to students and the general public.

It's Homecoming Week! Be sure and show your Red Pride by following the dress up days this week!  Support your favorite team by wearing their jersey tomorrow!

In the girls golf Sectional, the ladies finished 3rd with a team score of 347.  The girls will advance to Regionals on Saturday.  Congratulations to Sierra Benge with a 2nd place finish & Elani Arvanitis placing 3rd. 

The varsity football team battled it out with Greenwood on Friday, winning 38-35.  

Girls varsity soccer fell short on Saturday, losing 3-1.  They were missing 3 starters, but fought to the end! 

Congratulations to the JV boys soccer team for their 2-0 win on Saturday!

Varsity boys soccer suffered their first loss of the season against East Central 0-1.  They had a missed PK and let in a tough goal, but the boys showed tremendous heart down the stretch.

The varsity girls soccer team picked up another win on the road last night at Greenwood.  It brings them 10-1 on the season and 5-0 in the conference!  Even missing 4 original starters, these girls still found a way to get it done!

The varsity volleyball team traveled a short distance to Avon last night.  They had a good start by winning the first set, but Avon took the last two sets, winning 3-1.  They will play in the Hendricks County Tourney this weekend at Danville.

The varsity girls soccer team suffered their first loss of the season losing 3-0 to a strong Brownsburg team.

JV girls soccer had a 1-0 win over Brownsburg to remain undefeated!  They are 7-0!  

Boys tennis will play for a championship at #1 and #2 doubles today.  Young single players will play for 5th place today as well.

The girls golf team gave Franklin all they wanted on their home course last night.  Unfortunately they lost 168 to 173.  Scoring was Sierra Benge 41, Lilly Crays 41, Eleni Arvanitis 43, Kara York 48.  Great effort girls!  Good luck at Brickyard Crossing today!

Great weekend for Plainfield athletes:

  • Varsity football got the weekend off to a great start with a big 42-7 win over Perry Meridian Friday night. 

  • Both the freshman and JV football teams came out on top with the freshman winning 20-12 and JV with a 34-6 win. 

  • Varsity volleyball won in 4 sets over Cathedral on Saturday.  They now stand 13-2 on the season.

  • Boys varsity soccer had another draw 1-1 vs. a ranked Avon team.  It was a tough match and the guys fought hard.  They still remain undefeated!

  • JV boys soccer battled it out pulling out a 2-1 win over Avon.

  • Girls varsity soccer remains undefeated, even with 4 starters and 2 captains missing, as they move to 9-0 on the season.  They took down a tough New Pal team 2-0.  Both goals were made by Payton Thomas.  

  • The JV girls soccer team had a big 6-2 win over New Pal as well on Saturday.  The ladies move to 6-0!  Keep it up Quakers!

Congratulations to Logan Eddington for being named the Distinguished Young Woman 2020 Saturday evening.  She also won 4 categories:  fitness, interview, self expression, & talent.  Logan will represent at the State competition in February.  Julia Muskat received 1st runner up, with also winning the Scholastic award.  Congratulations ladies!

The girls soccer started off the weekend with a win over Pike Friday night at the North Central Invite.  They finished it on Saturday by beating top ranked #2 in 1A Lafayette Central Catholic 2-0.  Goals by Petersson and Simmons and shut out to Miller.  The Lady Quakers are now 7-0 & ranked #20 in 3A!  

In the Mid-State Tournament on Saturday, the girls golf team placed 3rd.  Eleni Arvanitis is All-Conference shooting an 80.  Good luck tonight at Martinsville!

The freshman football team got it done and picked up a big win on Saturday against Mooresville.

Boys soccer won 1-0 at Ben Davis on Saturday.  Half way through their season, zero losses, 6/8 shutouts, and 2 goals allowed with possibly the hardest schedule they’ve faced as a program.  These boys are on a mission!

The freshman volleyball team finished 2nd in their tournament going 3-1 for the weekend.  They lost a hard fought battle in the championship to Fishers.

Congratulations to both the girls and boys cross country teams for winning the Hendricks County Cross Country Championship last night! Boys placed 2,3,4, & 6. Girls placed 1, 3, 4, & 6. Shout out to Addison Dockery for being county champ!!

It was a great senior night for volleyball last night. All three teams came out victorious over Mooresville. Great job ladies!

Boys golf will be starting fall workouts tomorrow at 5:00pm. There will be a call out meeting from 4:00-5:00pm prior to the workout at Deer Creek Golf Course (on the back porch) for anyone wishing to play golf in the spring. Parents are welcome to attend the meeting. If participating in the workout, you must have the appropriate paperwork completed as well as a physical on file. GREAT weekend for Plainfield athletics:

Friday night, the football team battled it out with Tri-West, but with a game winning 50 yard field goal, it gave them the edge to win 37-35! Way to battle through guys!!

It was a successful Saturday for the freshman and JV football teams. The freshman won over Terre Haute North 53-0 and JV over Tri-West 10-0.

The varsity boys soccer team won 1-0 over Cardinal Ritter to move to 3-0-3.

Awesome 3-0 win for the JV boys soccer team as well!

After winning their first round over Tri-West, the girls soccer team matched up with Biship Chatard in the championship. Even though it was a hard fought 3-2 win in OT, they came out to claim the championship. This makes the girls back to back Invitational Champs! Great job girls!!

Boys tennis were team champions at the Franklin Central Invite on Saturday. Cooper Martin finished 1st in singles, and Keaton East & Andrew Hummel finished 1st in doubles.

Another great night for boys soccer!  Both JV and varsity teams shutout Mooresville.  JV won 6-0, with varsity winning 4-0.  That makes their 5th shutout in 7 games!!

Boys tennis got the 4-1 win over Franklin last night!

The volleyball teams came to play last night against Tri-West.  Both the FR & JV won in 2 sets, and varsity came back in the 4th set to win it 27-25 to clinch the match.  Awesome game!

Come get a nutritious breakfast to start your day!  We are serving breakfast from 7:40 - 8:05am in the cafeteria and at the breakfast cart outside of the fieldhouse.

Congratulations to both the girls and boys cross country teams for winning the Hendricks County Cross Country Championship last night! Boys placed 2,3,4, & 6. Girls placed 1, 3, 4, & 6. Shout out to Addison Dockery for being county champ!!

It was a great senior night for volleyball last night. All three teams came out victorious over Mooresville. Great job ladies!

GREAT weekend for Plainfield athletics:

Friday night, the football team battled it out with Tri-West, but with a game winning 50 yard field goal, it gave them the edge to win 37-35! Way to battle through guys!!

Aiden Moyers is up for IndyStar's high school football top performer from Week 2. It was a successful Saturday for the freshman and JV football teams. The freshman won over Terre Haute North 53-0 and JV over Tri-West 10-0.

The varsity boys soccer team won 1-0 over Cardinal Ritter to move to 3-0-3.

Awesome 3-0 win for the JV boys soccer team as well!

After winning their first round over Tri-West, the girls soccer team matched up with Biship Chatard in the championship. Even though it was a hard fought 3-2 win in OT, they came out to claim the championship. This makes the girls back to back Invitational Champs! Great job girls!!

Boys tennis were team champions at the Franklin Central Invite on Saturday. Cooper Martin finished 1st in singles, and Keaton East & Andrew Hummel finished 1st in doubles.
