The Hendricks Symphony Orchestra’s Youth Concerto Competition recently showcased an impressive display of local talent, with Alexander Castellanos-Medina and Rachel Weiss earning top honors for their standout performances. Alexander secured a well-deserved first-place finish, while Rachel followed closely in second place. In recognition of their dedication and technical skill, both musicians were awarded cash prizes to support their continued artistic development.

The community will have the opportunity to hear Alexander’s artistry firsthand this fall; as the competition winner, he is set to perform his concerto alongside the Hendricks Symphony Orchestra. These special performances will take place at Hendricks Live! on September 18th and 20th, marking a significant milestone in this young musician's burgeoning career.
