WTP-DC

From April 16–20, 2026, Plainfield High School’s We the People Team will travel to Washington, D.C. to compete in the We the People National Finals, the most prestigious constitutional competition in the nation. This event represents the culmination of a year-long, college-level study of the U.S. Constitution, civic participation, and public policy.

During the competition, students participate in an intensive three-day mock congressional hearing, where they are questioned by panels of judges on constitutional principles, Supreme Court cases, and contemporary issues. We are incredibly proud to share that this is the third consecutive year our team has earned the honor of representing the state of Indiana on the national stage, a testament to the dedication, discipline, and academic excellence of our students.

To help make this opportunity accessible to all team members, we are fundraising to offset the costs associated with travel and competition. We have an online fundraiser, and 100% of the funds raised go directly to supporting the students competing in Washington, D.C. This fundraiser will run from January 9 to February 6th. Use this link to donate: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/help-raise-money-to-send-our-we-the-people-to-nationals

We are also seeking business and organizational sponsors. A corporate donation of $500 or more allows us to proudly display your logo on our official team shirts, which are worn throughout the semester and during our time in Washington, D.C. Sponsorships must be sent to PHS by the end of February 2026.

Our student store (Quaker Corner) is also selling t-shirts to help raise funds. You can order a shirt from January 9-19th. Visit the Quaker Corner site to order yours!

If you are able to support this extraordinary educational experience, we would be deeply grateful.
