Plainfield High School’s We the People team recently had the unique opportunity to meet with two distinguished constitutional scholars—Chris Cavanaugh and Tim Moore—from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Both are members of the “Friends of Publius,” a group dedicated to promoting civic understanding and constitutional education.
During their visit, students engaged in an inspiring and thought-provoking discussion about the U.S. Constitution, government principles, and the importance of informed citizenship. The conversation offered valuable insight and encouragement as the team prepares for the upcoming We the People Regional Competition, which will take place on October 31st at IU Indianapolis.
The PHS We the People program continues to challenge students to think critically, engage respectfully, and deepen their understanding of democracy in action.
Good luck to our Quakers as they represent Plainfield at Regionals!
