Late last spring the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers announced students who received a National Medal in the 2019 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Morgan Simmons, a current Plainfield High School senior, was one of the students who received this honor. With nearly 340,000 works of art and writing submitted this is an amazing accomplishment for Morgan and Mrs. Armstrong. Morgan's work will be published in the Online Galleries at artandwriting.org. Morgan's artwork was also displayed at Carnegie Hall in New York over the summer. Congratulations to Morgan Simmons and Mrs. Armstrong on this accomplishment. Their gold medals arrived over the summer and the picture is below:
