* ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR PARENTS REQUESTING TRANSFER STATUS FOR A KINDERGARTEN STUDENT
The Transfer Application window is open March 2 - May 1. You will be notified following the May 14 School Board meeting.
Placement of students will not take place until sometime in July
You are welcome to attend Kindergarten RoundUp at any of the schools on April 8th, but it is not required.
Transfer students will be assigned a school based on enrollment, not based on parent request
All registration materials that would be taken to Kindergarten RoundUp should instead be delivered to our Administration Building, located at 985 Longfellow Lane.
Once a school has been assigned later this summer, we will forward your paperwork to that school.
Once you receive your child's school assignment in July, you will be able to request a date/time for a tour and for your child's Kindergarten assessment.
PLEASE NOTE: REGISTRATION IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL ALL FORMS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED.
The Plainfield Community School Corporation consists of a pre-school, four elementary schools (K-5), the middle school (6-8), and the high school (9-12). Enrollment for grades K-12 is approximately 5700 students. Students are assigned to an elementary based on their home address. The School Boundaries Map can be found here.
Our schools are:
Little Quakers Academy
Clarks Creek Elementary
Van Buren Elementary
Plainfield Community Middle School (PCMS), and
Plainfield High School (PHS)
Our mission is "Bringing joy to learning." We hold students and teachers to high standards, and we are incredibly proud of the hard work, determination, and passion they put forth. At the same time, we are determined to ensure that students, and staff, find joy in the work they are doing.
We are pleased to offer an excellent developmental and academic preschool to families.
How do I enroll my child?
Enrollment begins on February 1, and will remain open until all class spots have been filled.
Who can enroll?
We accept enrollment forms for children who will be three years of age and toilet-trained.
What do I bring?
After choosing the program in which you desire to enroll your child, complete all forms, gather the necessary documentation, and make arrangements to pay the $100 (full-day) or $50 (half-day) registration fee by cash or check (payable to "Clarks Creek Elementary"). Refer to the application checklist, provided along with the other enrollment documentation, to make sure you have all of the necessary materials at enrollment. Incomplete or missing forms will result in the loss of a spot in the program.
