
4th-grade students in Mrs. Tobey's class used both critical thinking and creativity when learning about theme. Students chose a song from a movie and had to provide evidence as to why they chose their song.



We are so LUCKY to have our amazing Central PTO!
They are hiding gold coins in common areas such as the hallways, library, cafeteria, etc. Students can help point out/find gold coins for their teacher. Once a staff member finds 5 coins they get to redeem a prize! There will be 1 winner a day starting Monday March 14th-24th.

Just a reminder: School is IN SESSION this Friday! In an earlier version of our school calendar, it was previously noted as a teacher development day. The calendar has since been revised and we are in school on Friday!


Students in 1st grade really worked on collaborating, communicating, critical thinking, and creativity as they were challenged with creating their own Yertle the Turtle and then stacking each of them!



2nd-graders love CHAMPS Club on Wednesday afternoons!


Every year, PHS 4th year Spanish students visit the elementary schools and teach a Spanish lesson to elementary students. The teachers love seeing their former students walking the halls of Central again and the elementary students LOVE learning from high school students! What could be better?!





Last Friday, our wonderful Mr. Wheeler hosted Central's All Pro Dad Breakfast. Over 150 people attended and were served breakfast. It was such a fun time for Central families!


This past week, Mrs. Todd's class Read One Plastic Bag: Isatou Ceesay and the Recycling Women of the Gambia. The second graders then repurposed plastic bags into friendship bracelets!

1st graders enjoyed their February Odyssey at the Imagination Lab!





Last week, 1st grade students enjoyed reading "Before the Railroad Came" and then dressing up as cowboys and cowgirls to end their special Western-themed week!



As a part of learning about our local leaders and government, 2nd grade students welcomed Plainfield Town Manager, Andrew Klinger. Mr. Klinger shared about Plainfield and his job as our Town Manager.



Students had so much fun enjoying celebrating TWOSday!





After learning about the planets and solar system, kindergarten students became authors of their very own planet books. Afterwards, they of course got to share and read their book with their classmates!


While learning about erosion, 4th graders put their minds together while using the Design Thinking process to complete a soil erosion challenge!
