We had another surprise award given out to a Central teacher this morning!

Mrs. Elaina Gibbs was presented the Hometown Hero Award by Representative Greg Steurewald. This award is given to a Plainfield resident to recognize the positive impact they have on their community. Mr. Olinger, Dr. DelVecchio, and Elaina's family helped with the surprise as well.

Way to go Mrs. Gibbs!

Central's School Resource Officer (SRO) is Officer Josh Turner. Fondly called Officer Josh to many of the students, he loves coming into the classrooms to read to the students.

First graders read a story and then created their own story that was focused all around the aspects of what makes a good friend and friendships. Snacks were, of course, an important part of the activity!
