Two reminders this Monday morning: Let's Talk! is tonight at 6 pm, in the Administration Building's board room. Also, today is the last day to nominate someone for the 2020 Plainfield Teacher of the Year - find the online form here: https://bit.ly/2DsWCaQ

Congratulations to all six Plainfield Community Schools for earning the prestigious Four-Star Status! We'll share more details next week, but help us give them a big "way-to-go" in the meantime!

R.O.S.E. (Recognizing Service Excellence) Award nominations are now open! http://bit.ly/2019ROSEAwards

In March, Plainfield celebrates the community value of Reliability: Being responsible, dependable and trustworthy. And in April, we'll honor the students who were selected as their school's most reliable student!

Is Kindergarten Registration on your calendar? April 10th is the day, from 10-2 or 5-7:30. Turn in paperwork at the school your child will attend in August. Online registration link here: https://www.plainfield.k12.in.us/online-registration--19

Just a few days remain to nominate someone for the 2020 Plainfield Teacher of the Year! https://www.plainfield.k12.in.us/teacher-of-the-year

It's time for this semester's version of Let's Talk! This is your no-agenda, ask that burning question, casual conversation with School Board members and administrators. Monday, March 11 at 6 pm; enter Door #2 of the Administration Building. Hope to see YOU there!

Look at these brave Quaker students, ready to brave the COLD waters of Eagle Creek. #PolarPlunge

Tomorrow begins the 2019-2020 Online Registration process. The process is the same as last year, except we have added an online Volunteer Handbook and Agreement. Parents will receive a SchoolMessenger this evening with the details and links to the online portal.

Expect to be surrounded by well-dressed, poised & savvy high school students if you're downtown Indy Sun - Tue! The state DECA finals will be underway, and we're wishing nearly 60 PHS students all the best as they make their final preparations! #QuakerFaces @IndianaDECA

School board members Scott Flood and Brad DuBois visited PHS today, and caught Mr. Peters teaching an important Calculus lesson on how a wise investment today can pay off down the road. And yes, he really IS using an overhead projector, with a smart board & financial calculator!

Least isn't always best, but when most people think about tax rates, they tend to prefer small numbers. Plainfield Community School Corporation delivers!

Excited to share that PHS swim senior, Max Wiser, is in the running for IndyStar Athlete of the Week! Cast your vote here: https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2019/02/19/vote-indystar-athletes-week-feb-11-16/2919469002/

We're hiring! Find all the info you'll need to apply via our online applications link. Our Food Services team offers training and flexibility! https://www.applitrack.com/plainfield/onlineapp/default.aspx?Category=Food+Services

Well, I was so engrossed in another project all day that I almost forgot we have a board meeting this evening! 7 pm, Admin Building, Door 2. Hope to see you there!

It's an important stage in project construction when the new sign goes up on a building. Van Buren achieved that status earlier today! With several updates, including a more secure front office, the 63-year old school is looking great! #QuakerFaces #ThePlainfieldWay

Congratulations to PHS Senior Victoria (Tori) Kinnamon, who was just named a National Merit Finalist! Tori is an outstanding student-athlete who plans to study biochemistry at Grinnell College in Iowa, where she will also compete on their swim team. #QuakerFaces @GrinnellCollege

Just a reminder that school will be in session on Friday, February 15th, as our snow make-up day from January 30th. School will still be closed, as planned, on Monday, February 18th.

LOTS of flu, colds, nasty stuff being shared too generously. Please help children remember to wash their hands with soap and water!

Nominations are now open for the 2020 Plainfield Schools Teacher-of-the-Year! Students 17 and older, their parents and community members are encouraged to participate in one of an educator's greatest honors! https://www.plainfield.k12.in.us/teacher-of-the-year
