Day 1: One more day until school starts! Our doors open at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow! We can't wait to get this year started and are ready for the best year ever! Day 2: Attendance matters. Let's work together to develop strong attendance habits. Did you know you can monitor your child's attendance by logging into your PowerSchool account? We are here to prepare your child for future success. Also, if your child is ill and needs to stay home from school, be sure to let us know! Day 3: Will your child eat a meal from the cafeteria? This year breakfast will cost $1.80 and lunch will cost $2.80. There are options to fund your child's account online or to send in cash/check in an envelope with the child's name, grade, and LUNCH written on it. You can see more info about those options on the Food Services page of the district website. We also have many families that are able to take advantage of free or reduced price meals for their children by completing the online application. At this time, the application is not yet open for this school year. A separate message will go to parents when this does become available. Even if you're not sure you would qualify for this income-based benefit, it's free to apply and never hurts to fill out the application. #firstday2023 #countdown2023 #letseat

Day 4: Find all the important dates and school breaks/holidays by viewing our school calendar of events. If you use a Google calendar yourself, you can add our school calendar right to yours or just view it online. Day 5: Will your child be riding the bus to school this year? If so, you can expect a Parent Square message with the details of pick-up/drop-off times, bus-stop location, bus number, and driver name on July 28th. If your child is a car rider, make sure you have signed up for your car tags and have read the important information in the Parent Guide about arrival and dismissal. Parents of walkers should use the same form as the car riders to share this information. It's important for you to read the arrival and dismissal info in the Parent Guide as well. Day 6: of the #CCfirstday2023 countdown is all about staying informed. Make sure your correct email address and phone numbers are always up to date in PowerSchool. Sign up for text alerts in ParentSquare, too, so the latest news will come right to your fingertips! Day 8: Back to school means it's time to stock up on supplies! Check our school website for the required list and grab everything your child needs. If you need assistance with supplies we have some donations that have been made that may help with this. Feel free to stop by school and check out the table inside of door 1 to see if something you need may be available there.
