Students can dress up for school tomorrow for Hawaiian Day and Friday as their favorite book character!
Thanks to our amazing PTO for organizing this great event!

We love our partnership with the PHS HOSA group! Our 3rd graders recently participated in some STEM challenges that were led by the high school students and they LOVED it!

Come check out the Red Pride Robotics League Night on Thursday at PHS!

Yesterday was the 100th day of school! Wow! How this school year is flying by! Here are some smiling kindergartners enjoying their celebrations yesterday.

5th graders enjoyed their January Odyssey to The Imagination Lab! This group used the 4C’s to create DNA helixes.

First graders in Mrs. Mitchell’s class working on sequencing events in a story and then writing about the story!

Kindergartners hard at work in Mrs. Szepski’s class.

4th graders enjoyed a presentation about electricity this week from our community partner, Hendricks Power!

2nd graders have been learning about making inferences into a character’s perspective based on the emotions and actions that the character shows. Here they are with their perspective masks that they use when reading to help them identify the character’s emotions!

Happy Holidays to our Central families!

Kindergartners are celebrating holidays around the world throughout the month of December! Here they are learning about Chinese New Year and St. Nicholas Day.

5th grade students have been diving deep into analyzing characters and their traits while reading literature. Mrs. Harris’ class recently dove so deep that they performed “character autopsies” where the students dug below the surface to describe their given character. Bringing Joy to Learning!

First grade students learned about bees recently! They read many books and the students researched. After writing, they created their own bees!

1st graders learned all about car seat and seat belt safety at their Imagination Lab Odyssey!

Did you know that our Central students have been participating in a school wide reading challenge for the past week and a half? Each grade level came up with a goal number of books or minutes read that would earn a cotton ball for their teacher’s Santa beard to grow. At the end of the challenge, the class in each grade level who has the longest teacher beard will win a class dance glow party!

5th graders learned about chemical reactions while creating their own invisible ink at their December Odyssey to the Imagination Lab!

Central students have paired up with the PHS boys basketball team to be pen pals! Each class at Central has a high schooler on the team that they will write letters back and forth with. What a fun way for our students to continue to grow their writing skills while also connecting with our PHS student athletes! 🏀📝

5th graders learning and practicing their 4 square skills during P.E. time with our wonderful Ms. Smith!
