Congrats to @PHSQuakers teacher Chris Cavanaugh who was just chosen an American Lawyers Alliance law-related education teacher of the year. This prestigious honor, annually presented to two high school and one middle school teacher throughout the country, is richly deserved, as any former student or parent can attest. Through his work with the CHAP (Cultural History of the American People) and AP Government/We The People classes, his knowledge and passion for history, the Constitution, and independent thinking has been passed on to countless students. Congratulations, Mr. Cavanaugh!

Living a healthy lifestyle may not be easy but can be achieved by gradually making small changes and building on those successes. By looking at your overall health every day – both physically and mentally – you can go a long way in ensuring that you focus on your Fitness #4Mind4Body.

Mental Health America chose this theme for the 2018 Mental Health Month: Fitness #4Mind4Body. Their materials focus on increasing our understanding of how the body’s various systems impact mental health, based on recent research findings. From food to fitness to gut flora, it is now understood that these elements play an important role in personal wellness. This May, MHA is challenging the public to make small changes - both mentally and physically - to create huge gains for our overall health. #4mind4body.
