Just a reminder: Plainfield Schools will be CLOSED on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 for a Teacher In-Service Day.
(With the exception of Little Quakers Academy Full-Day Classes)

Just a reminder: All PCSC Schools are CLOSED today for a Teacher In-Service Day. Hoping all of our Quakers enjoy their weekend! See you on Monday!

We love to see cross-grade level collaboration! Students in the PHS HOSA program visited Mrs. Cade's class to help them with presentations they were preparing on animals. #collaboration #highschoolheroes

Kindergarten students in Mrs. Swincher's music class spent some time using the design thinking process to design their own instruments (maracas shaped like tacos) and identifying which filling - quinoa, lentils, rice, or beans - produced the loudest-softest sounds. #tacos #music

During the month of March, all CC students have been voting on what artworks they wanted to win in the "Art Madness" battles. 4th graders worked with their tables to create a bracket for which artworks they thought would win the tournament. They also discussed which artworks they were surprised moved on, and those they were surprised didn't move on. The matchups for each day led to some great conversations about the artworks and artists across all grade levels!

Mrs. Sweeney's trip recently traveled to the Wonderlab in Bloomington for an awesome STEM field trip!

We had a great time visiting with the animals from City Ranch! This was the culmination of our One School, One Book project. While there weren't any donkeys like in our book Saving Winslow, we got a great sense of what taking care of animals is like!

Just a reminder: School is IN SESSION this Friday! In an earlier version of our school calendar, it was previously noted as a teacher development day. The calendar has since been revised and we are in school on Friday!

Mrs. Payton's class is finishing up the novel, Save Me a Seat, by Sarah Weeks and Gita Varadarajan. Her class spent time collaborating, communicating, and using their creativity to make illustrations based on different settings that take place in the book. Each group also wrote a summary describing the setting that was illustrated. #4CsInAction
