For the 5th time in 16 years, all six Plainfield schools earned the prestigious Four-Star status!

We are thrilled to share the news recently released by the Indiana Department of Education, that all six Plainfield schools earned Four-Star status for the 2017-2018 school year. This marks the fifth time in the last 16 years that PCSC has achieved this rank.

While the recognition and accomplishment feels amazing, we believe that our mission, “Bringing joy to learning,” is just as important. For too long we’ve watched students, as well as their teachers and principals, feel the stress brought about by mandated statewide tests.

The Plainfield community is incredibly supportive of education, and has high expectations for our performance. Our ability to balance test scores with joy, exploration, curiosity, collaboration and growth are part of what makes this such a special community and school corporation.

To put the recognition in perspective, PCSC is one of just three public school systems in the state to have every school earn Four-Star designation. Ironically, two of the three are right here in Hendricks County (Plainfield, Brownsburg).

The Four Star School Award has been in existence for over 30 years. To earn the Four Star designation, a school must receive an “A” on the state’s A-F accountability system and have excellent ISTEP+ pass rates.

Congratulations to all of our students, staff and school families who make education a priority, and who support our mission to bring joy to learning.
