The Shops at Perry Crossing host Art Gallery for PCSC students

With big thanks to local shopping mall The Shops at Perry Crossing, the artwork of many Plainfield students will be showcased for the next few months.

Tiffani Atkins, Marketing Manager for the mall, contacted Plainfield Schools last month to offer what is clearly a winning proposition for both organizations.

Rather than leaving some of the vacant stores with empty windows, visitors can now admire the colorful artwork shared by our art teachers. In March and April, the works will be from the four elementary schools, transitioning to feature PCMS and PHS student work in May and June.

By taking advantage of a central location that had two adjacent openings, the art gallery spans the windows of the former Charlotte Russe and Sweet Olive locations, roughly across from Dick's Sporting Goods and Lane Bryant.

Whether you want to get out and walk a bit in the fresh air, or if you've been meaning to do a little shopping or even grab a meal at one of the mall's locations, be sure to walk past the gallery to see the colorful works that our students have created.
