Congratulations to our Retired Teachers

What a beautiful morning to visit (and socially-distance) six of the seven 2020 Plainfield Community Schools' retired teachers. While our tradition is to invite them to a school board meeting for a more formal and public honor, sometimes we all have to adapt. 

Superintendent Scott Olinger and School Board President Scott Flood presented retirees with a rose, a gift card, and an engraved plaque to celebrate their dedication to our students through the years. 

This year's retirees represent 203 years of teaching excellence, and we will miss their personalities, their expertise, and their incredible loyalty. 

We missed visiting with School Psychologist Pat Thomas in person, but we hope she understands that the 900-mile trip to the East Coast was a little more than we could fit in right now. The sentiment, however, remains.
