Plainfield Community School Corporation Names Mr. Andy Allen as New Superintendent
Experienced Educational Leader to Begin Role January 1, 2026
PLAINFIELD, IN – The Plainfield Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Andy Allen as the district's next Superintendent of Schools. Allen, who currently serves as Principal at Batesville High School, will assume his new role on January 1, 2026, succeeding Mr. Scott Olinger, who has served as superintendent for 17 years.
"After an extensive search, we are confident that Mr. Allen brings the leadership experience, educational vision, and commitment to excellence that will serve our students, families, and community well," said Jessica Elston, President of the Board of School Trustees. "His proven track record of student achievement and innovative programming makes him the ideal candidate to lead Plainfield Schools into the future."
Allen brings 26 years of educational experience to the position, including his current role as Principal at Batesville High School, where he has served since 2013. Under his leadership, Batesville High School has achieved significant successes with connecting students with post-secondary opportunities, whether that be college, military service, technical certifications, or other credentials & licenses. Prior to his principalship, Allen served as associate principal for Batesville High School from 2009 - 2013, and was an assistant principal for Plainfield High School in the 2008 - 2009 school year.

I look forward to intentional and consistent learning ahead to ensure we are best prepared for January 1, 2026.”
Mr. Allen holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision (M.A.E.) from Butler University, an Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S.)from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University. He also currently serves as the President for the Indiana Association of School Principals, and was a member of the Indiana Aspiring Superintendent Academy Cohort from the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents.
Allen's appointment follows a comprehensive search process that included input from district stakeholders, including staff, parents, students, and community members.
Allen will officially begin his duties as Superintendent on January 1, 2026. Additional information about the transition will be communicated to the school community in the coming weeks.
