We couldn’t be prouder of our high school show choirs!

Belles et Beaux are the 2024 ISSMA State Show Choir Champions! They swept with best vocals and best visuals, capping off an incredible season for the largest co-ed show choir in Indiana. 

Femme Fatales placed 4th overall in the univoice division, their highest placement ever in the large school division. 

Our show choirs consistently show their professionalism and skill on and off the stage, and we are extremely proud to see it paying off in awards and recognition. 

Choral Director Michael Hummel, recalled what drew him to the program. "There was a lot of pride in the program, a lot of interest. I loved that about the school district because it supports the arts." 

These accomplishments showcase the hard work that these students have put in over the last few years, competing against larger schools and turning the show choirs into highly successful programs. With more than 170 students in one or more of these choirs, the growth looks to continue on steadily. Our middle school show choir, Debut, has had immense success in only its second year.

This growth, as Hummel says, "allows students to be part of a team and believe that they can succeed. You set the bar where you want to and your kids will rise to it."
