PHS is a PLTW Distinguished School

Plainfield High School Receives National Recognition From Project Lead The Way

Plainfield, IN – Plainfield High School announced today that it has been recognized as a 2022-23 Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished School. It is one of only 262 high schools across the U.S. to receive this honor for providing broad access to transformative learning experiences for students through PLTW’s computer science, engineering, and biomedical pathways.

The PLTW Distinguished School recognition honors schools committed to increasing student access, engagement, and achievement in their PLTW programs. To be eligible for the designation, PHS had to meet several criteria in the 2021-22 school year, such as 25% of students participating in PLTW courses, along with offering more than 3 PLTW courses.

PHS has ten.

These STEM courses offer education and experiences unlike those offered in previous generations. With an emphasis on computer science, biomedical sciences, and engineering, our students clamor to participate in these classes every year.

We are proud of our Project Lead The Way offerings, and we’re beyond excited to have been named a PLTW Distinguished School.
