School Board Update

The Plainfield School Board has completed its review of the 16 applications submitted to fill the seat of Mr. Michael Allen. The Board will interview eight applicants on Friday, August 26th, beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the Administration Building’s board room. The public is welcome to attend, but questions will only be asked by school board members.

The eight candidates are Philip Clay, Todd Gorrell, Doug Hartman, Allison Hemmelgarn, Jason Miller, Karen Newman, Brandon Smith and Travis Smith.

The Board hopes to complete the selection process by no later than Monday, August 29th, but may conduct additional rounds of interviews and deliberation if needed. 

The School Board members expressed their appreciation to everyone who applied, noting that the candidates represent wide-ranging backgrounds and experience, with all candidates presenting impressive credentials and qualifications.
