PCMS Special Education teacher, Myra Flint, is shown here receiving an award and cash donation from Plainfield's Burlington Coat Factory managers.

Schools are made up of students of all abilities, along with teachers and staff who are uniquely prepared to meet them wherever they might be on their journey.

Our schools are known throughout Indiana as having some of the best programs and opportunities for students with special needs. Of course, the best programs would fall flat without talented, passionate people to bring them to life.

We are incredibly fortunate to have wonderful teachers and assistants in our special education program. Their devotion and skills are greatly appreciated. In fact, the photo above shows PCMS Special Education teacher Mrs. Flint and PCMS Principal Mr. Cooney being honored by the Plainfield Burlington Coat Factory managers when they visited her classroom to make a cash donation.

So today, we share our gratitude for all the people involved in our Special Education program. They are true gems, and we are all better for their examples of caring and acceptance.
