Dear Plainfield Schools Families,
Based on the guidance of Governor Holcomb, Plainfield Community School Corporation will be closed beginning tomorrow, Friday, March 13. School will open no sooner than the return from Spring Break, which will be Monday, April 6. Please note that this situation continues to be fluid, and the return date could possibly extend.
Tomorrow, March 13th, all employees will report to school to spend the day in preparation for this change. Students will not report to school tomorrow. Beginning Monday, March 16, we will begin daily lessons with students via e-Learning.
Also, tomorrow, March 13th, parents and students may come to school to pick up necessary materials during normal school hours.
Beginning Monday, March 16, the QuakerBrake Food Truck will make daily sack lunch deliveries to numerous neighborhoods throughout Plainfield. The sack lunch will include a cold breakfast for the following morning. We will communicate the timing and location of these stops tomorrow. We will also have sack lunches available at the PCSC Administration Building if your area is not on the truck route.
As a reminder, this closure includes Little Quakers Academy and the YMCA before- and after-care programs.
As we’ve done throughout this scenario, we will continue to update you with information. Expect to hear from us again tomorrow, no later than noon, with more details.
