Our December Value of the Month is Kindness and students at PHS took it to heart.

This month, PHS held its 34th Annual (!!) Food Drive to benefit St. Mark’s Food Pantry. All first period classes competed for a full week to see whose class could donate the most canned/non-perishable food items. Our Key Club and FCA groups helped organize and run the event, with students picking up and counting cans after school each day to get an updated tally.

At the end of the week, students had donated more than 3,600 food items to St. Mark’s! Our first and second place classes donated a combined total of 1,711 items–impressive!

These students had fun competing against each other while helping fulfill a need within our community. During this busy month of December, we’re proud of our students for all they do to help make a difference in Plainfield.

Special thanks to the FCA Club and its sponsor, Mr. Stacey Peters, and the Key Club and its sponsor, Mr. Caleb Moster, for all their hard work!
