Day 18: #30DaysOfGratitude

Everyone knows that school is no longer "just" a seven hour day. There are so many opportunities for students to be involved and engaged in programs before- and after-school and on weekends. Athletics, of course, is usually one of the first to come to mind. But there are academic teams, service groups, and the arts.

And this weekend, the Fine Arts Department is thrilled to perform, "Little Women, The Musical."

Logan Eddington, Stephen Avilez and Abby Moyers rehearse one of their scenes for today's performances of "Little Women: The Musical"

Things you should know about #LittleWomenTheMusical:

  • The students are between 15 - 18 years old, with more talent than many of us can imagine
  • The costumes worn by the females in the cast include 10 layers of clothing, and weigh 12 pounds
  • The musical script is adapted from both the book and movie
  • Today's shows are at 2:00 and 7:00
  • Tickets may be purchased at the door: $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors

Logan Wuertley and Rachel Peterson rehearse their scene for Little Women: The Musical

But none of this could happen without the efforts of staff, volunteers and many behind-the-scenes students. So today, we're grateful for passionate students, teachers and volunteers who work together to bring the arts to life, so that all of us can enjoy the fruits of their labors.
