Get to know us: Rachel Freeman!

Meet Rachel Freeman, who teaches Algebra and Geometry at Plainfield High School. With 13 years experience, Rachel is beginning her 11th year at PHS after two years in Mooresville.  Rachel is also co-sponsor for Student Government.

When asked about her favorite role at Plainfield, Rachel shared that her involvement in student government provides the opportunity to work with different students and teachers throughout the school. She loves the variety of activities available to students.

If time were no issue, we’d likely find Rachel curled up with a good book or traveling with her family.

Thinking about today’s youth and the perceptions many adults have, Rachel reflected on this quote from John Wooden: “Young people need models, not critics.” She added, “that is what we as teachers are trying to be for our students.”
