Students practice yoga and learn about "Blue Zones"

Second graders from Van Buren were the first to experience October Odysseys this morning at The Imagination Lab, even though it's technically the last day of September. Some students learned about well-being and "Blue Zones" in the Hendricks Regional Health Room, where they practiced yoga.

Others investigated birds' beaks while a few groups invented bird houses for their yards. One bunch of second graders even sewed buttons on lap quilts as part of a community service project for local preschoolers. Lots of new lessons are being enjoyed at The Imagination Lab in the month to come. (There are more stations, but we don't want to give too much away for upcoming second grade visits to The Lab.) #QuakersImagine.
