LQA students enjoying some corn meal digging during Down on the Farm week

It's hard to catch every LQA class in their classrooms at the same time, between recess, bathroom breaks, hallway activities and lunch. But yesterday, there was plenty of cuteness to generate a new post!

In one room, students were practicing how to quickly get into line while holding their bubbles before a bathroom break and lunch. They take their bubbles very seriously, although most have figured out how to smile with a bubble!

Next door, it's "Down on the Farm" week, so one group of students were painting with corn cobs! Yes, it was messy, but what they learned about colors and texture while creating their own masterpieces? Priceless.

At the next table, students were digging for horses in a big bowl of corn meal. Another textural experience, and the giggles of glee when they found a horse? Contagious.

And the final table had students working with colorful plastic shapes to create their barnyard corrals. Some had all of their bunnies in one small area, while the horses and pigs and cows tended to have larger spaces to roam. There were even some ducks inside a fence!

Do you ever wonder how your small children manage the lunch line? While many of our LQA students bring their lunch, a few take advantage of the school cafeteria, and have become quite proficient at managing their meal card, making a selection of their entree, and getting their a la carte items, plus silverware. They are pretty serious about this work, of course, but they are adorable in the process!

It was just a normal day at Little Quakers Academy, but there were plenty of extraordinary moments spread throughout the classrooms and hallways.
