Baseball players honor teachers

On a perfect spring evening, the PCMS 8th grade baseball players took a few minutes to say a special thank you. 

With the encouragement of Coach Nathan Ellis (a PHS grad himself), the players wrote a note to a middle school teacher who had made a significant impact on their life. Just prior to the game, the players and their honored teacher were introduced, and each student presented their teacher with a framed certificate.

While 8th grade boys can sometimes be a little shy around their teachers, there were plenty of smiles to go around last night. As everyone begins to feel the end-of-the-year pressure, along with some good 'ole Indiana spring fever, this was a very nice way to remember that our student athletes are students first, and their teachers put in countless hours to make learning come to life.
