ATHLETICS

"What a game! Last night your 7th grade PCMS lady Quakers took on Avon South in a fight to the finish. In the "A" game they battled until the final buzzer with a tied score of 23-23. After 3 min of overtime, the Quakers fell to Avon with a final score of 23-30. Not all was lost though! The "B" team bounced back in the second game of the night to bring down the Orioles in a 16-13 victory! Great job ladies!"

The 8th grade Lady Quakers had a double victory last night against Avon South. The A Team played tough to earn a 25-21 victory, and the B Team finished strong with a 34-21 win. Great job, ladies!

The 7th grade boys basketball team won the Mid-State Championship last night by beating a strong Franklin team 51 to 41. Great effort was the key to the victory. We are now 12-5 on the season.

Attention Boys' Basketball Fans: The Hendricks County Boys' Basketball Tournament begins Tuesday evening at PCMS with your Quakers hosting the Bulldogs from Brownsburg East. Tip-off time is 5:00 P.M. The 8th grade Lady Quakers had their first home game last night against Perry Meridian. The A Team played an aggressive game, but fell short 14-28. The B team ended the night with a big win. The Lady Quakers play at home again Thursday against Avon South

The 7th boys basketball team ran their record to 11-5 with a hard fought road win last night at Martinsville. Score was 36 to 26. We play for the Mid-state championship Thursday at Franklin at 5:30

The 7th grade Plainfield Lady Quakers took their first defeat of the season last night against the rambunctious Perry Meridian Falcons. In a rough and tumble match, your A team fell by just 2 points ending the game with Perry at 20 and Plainfield at 18. The B team got lightly beat with a final score of 17-22! Lily Roush had this to say in reference to the game, "If you put two "L's" together you can get a "W"..." The girls would like to invite everyone out on Thursday for their first HOME game of the season against Avon South! Good luck ladies!"

The 7th grade boys ran their record to 10-5 by beating a strong Perry Meridian team last night by a score of 52 to 38. Unselfish play was the key to the victory. We are in action again tonight in the Mid-State Semi-Final at Martinsville. Game starts at 5:30.

The PCMS 7th grade lady Quakers showed up last night to bring down the Avon North Orioles with a double win in the A and B games. Our A team kept it close with a 25 to 21 win. Last night the eighth grade girls basketball team got off to a slow start, but after an exciting second-quarter only trail by four at the half. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs made more place in the second half as the Quakers lost to the Bulldogs.The girls will be back in action at home this Saturday.

The Plainfield wrestling team improved their dual meet record to 3-0 by defeating Decatur 77-39.

The 7th grade boys lost a tough game to Brownsburg 45-41. We finished 14-6 and conference champs. Congrats on a great year.

The Plainfield Wrestling team won the Paul Hadley invitational on Saturday. The Quakers beat out 17 teams for the top spot honors. In addition to the team title, individual champions were Noah Davis, Harrison Hrbeck, Cameron Allen, Conor Holt, Jacob Sheets, and Thomas Hayes.

The 7th grade boys won again against Greenwood last night by a score of 48 to 35 to improve to 12-5 on the year. We play for the Mid-State Championship tonight against Whiteland. Unselfish play was the key to the win

There will be a Call-out meeting for all 8th graders interested in playing football next year on Thursday, January 19th. The meeting will take place in the Wrestling Room at 7:30am. If you plan on being part of the football program next year, please plan to attend.

The 7th grade boys beat a strong Mooresville team last night in overtime 34 to 31. We are now 11-5 on the year. Unselfish play was the key in the win. We are in action again Wednesday against Greenwood in the semifinals of the mid-state.

The Plainfield middle school wrestling team is 2-0 after defeating tri-west 93-12 and defeating Avon North 68-32.

Last night the 8th grade girls team kicked off their season hosting the Perry Meridian Falcons. Both teams played hard, but unfortunately the Quakers came up short 31-34.The team will be back in action at home tomorrow night at 6:15.

Last night against Perry meridian, Jozee Rhodes was our leading scorer with 10 points.

Over the weekend the 8th grade boys B team came in 3rd place in the Zionsville B tournament. The team lost to Carmel 18-35 in the first round, but got hot in their second game and beat Southport 32-18. Good season guys!
