7th grade girls basketball played at Perry Meridian last night. 7 different players scored in the 24-29 loss.

The 7th grade basketball team played very hard last night but came up 2 points short against Mooresville 36 to 38. We are in action Monday against Tri-West.

The 8th grade boys basketball team won a tough game last night against conference rival Mooresville 29-17. The boys physical defense and rebounding won them the game. Come out to Decatur Central tonight to cheer on the boys in the 2nd round of the conference tournament tonight as the boys take on Decatur Central at 6:30!

The 8th grade girls basketball team defeated Perry meridian last night 41-34! It was a hard fought battle until the end. Leading in scoring for Plainfield was Audrey Harper with 15, Ellie Wilkerson with 10, and Jozee Rhodes with 9. Great start to the season!

The 7th grade B basketball team finished their season this past Saturday with a 7-5 record on the year. We lost to Carmel 43 to 30 but then came back to beat Southport in the second game by a score of 39 to 37. Congrats on a great year! Last night, the 8th grade A basketball team came back from a 12 point deficit to beat conference rival Whiteland 37-35! Great job fellas! The boys are back in action tonight against Decatur Central to determine who will finish the regular season number 1 in the conference!

Last night the eighth grade girls basketball team got off to a slow start, but after an exciting second-quarter only trail by four at the half. Unfortunately, the Bulldogs made more place in the second half as the Quakers lost to the Bulldogs.The girls will be back in action at home this Saturday.

7th grade girls were victorious over Brownsburg East. Leading scorers were Jozee Rhodes, Shannon Olejnik, Audrey Harper, and Audrey Tallent. Great play by the whole 7th grade team.

The Plainfield wrestling team improved their dual meet record to 3-0 by defeating Decatur 77-39.

The 7th grade boys lost a tough game to Brownsburg 45-41. We finished 14-6 and conference champs. Congrats on a great year.

The Boys’ Basketball teams extend a big thanks to the PCMS students for your support last night in the semi-finals of the County tournament and all season long. . Basketball fans…Both 7th and 8th grade Boys’ Basketball teams advanced to the semi-finals of the Hendricks County Tournament last night with a win over Cascade. Tonight, the Bulldogs from Brownsburg East will be in the house. 7th Grade tip-off time is 5:00. Come out and support your teams. Please note that admission for all students is $4.00. PCMS spirit wear shirts and other passesDO NOT allow free admission to tournament games!

The Plainfield Wrestling team won the Paul Hadley invitational on Saturday. The Quakers beat out 17 teams for the top spot honors. In addition to the team title, individual champions were Noah Davis, Harrison Hrbeck, Cameron Allen, Conor Holt, Jacob Sheets, and Thomas Hayes.

Last night the 8th grade girls basketball team fell short against Avon South, the team will be back in action next Wednesday at home vs. Brownsburg.

The 7th grade boys basketball team played the game of the year to win the the Mid-State Championship by a score of 36 to 34 over a very talented Whiteland team last night. Unselfish play was the key to the huge win.

Basketball fans…Monday begins the Hendricks County Boys’ Basketball Tournament. In Round 1, we play Cascade here beginning at 5:00 with the 7th Grade Tip-off. Let’s “Pack The House” because “We Are A Big Deal"

The 7th grade boys beat a strong Mooresville team last night in overtime 34 to 31. We are now 11-5 on the year. Unselfish play was the key in the win. We are in action again Wednesday against Greenwood in the semifinals of the mid-state.

The Plainfield middle school wrestling team is 2-0 after defeating tri-west 93-12 and defeating Avon North 68-32.

Last night the 8th grade girls team kicked off their season hosting the Perry Meridian Falcons. Both teams played hard, but unfortunately the Quakers came up short 31-34.The team will be back in action at home tomorrow night at 6:15.

Last night against Perry meridian, Jozee Rhodes was our leading scorer with 10 points.

Attention girls interested in trying out for softball this year: We will have a call out meeting next Wednesday (Jan. 18) before school at 7:30 in the East Gym. Please plan on being there! Contact Mrs. Hesson if you have any questions.

There will be a Call-out meeting for all 8th graders interested in playing football next year on Thursday, January 19th. The meeting will take place in the Wrestling Room at 7:30am. If you plan on being part of the football program next year, please plan to attend.

The Science fair will be held on Wednesday February 8th afterschool in the cafeteria until 4 PM. Anyone who is interested in participating, please talk to your science teacher by January 20th.

Over the weekend the 8th grade boys B team came in 3rd place in the Zionsville B tournament. The team lost to Carmel 18-35 in the first round, but got hot in their second game and beat Southport 32-18. Good season guys!
