The weather is definitely improving and we hope that makes it easier for families to get outdoors and safely enjoy some space, sunshine and fresh air. Overall, though, many of the strains of the COVID-19 pandemic, including the stay-at-home scenario, can lead to moments of increased stress and frustration.
Indiana's Department of Education and the Department of Child Services created this checklist to help Hoosiers identify potential signs of abuse. As we come together to support our friends and neighbors by running errands for those at greatest risk of exposure, as we fill the Little Free Pantry boxes throughout our community, and as we celebrate our front-line workers, we can also be aware of what abuse might look like. Keeping our eyes open may well be the simplest thing we can do, and it could change a life, or save a life.
