Mr. Rodkey earned his BA in Social Studies Education at Purdue University and his MA in Educational Administration at Ball State University. He taught social studies and coached basketball, football, baseball, and golf before becoming an administrator at Plainfield in 2009. Torrey and his wife, Kellie, live in Avon with their children Victoria, Marcus, and Vivian.
Mr. Patrick Cavanaugh
Assistant Athletic Director
Mr. Cavanaugh is the Assistant Athletic Director at PHS. Prior to Assistant AD he has coached five different sports at various levels for over twenty five years. He also teaches in the Social Studies department. He has two sons; Jack, who attends I.U. and Derek who is a student at PHS.
Mr. Randy Vanderbush
Strength and Conditioning Coach
Coach Vanderbush graduated from Michigan State University where he was a letter winner in both football and baseball and also earned his MS from Indiana Wesleyan University. Randy is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the NSCA and regularly speaks at state and national events. He and his wife Audra, sons Cael, Caden, and Coen all reside in Plainfield.
Rebekah is a 2000 graduate of Plainfield High School and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in athletic training from Purdue University. Rebekah is employed by Hendricks Regional Health and is contracted to Plainfield High school. She currently lives in Danville with her husband, daughter, stepsons, and dog, Laila.

Mrs. Kathy Mathews
Kathy is the Athletic Trainer for Plainfield Middle School and the Assistant Athletic Trainer for Plainfield High School. Kathy is a 1992 graduate of Plainfield High school and a 1996 graduate of the University of Indianapolis. She currently lives in Plainfield with her husband and two daughters.
Mrs. Brandi Morris
Athletic Administrative Assistant
Mrs. Morris earned her Bachelor of Science degree from IUPUI in 1999. She has been an Athletic Secretary for the past 10 years, while most recently at Avon and Danville High Schools. She has coached volleyball, basketball, track and softball at the MS and HS levels. Brandi and her husband, Kevin live in Plainfield with their two sons, Ethan and Braeden.
Coach Woodard is the Head Football Coach at PHS where he also teaches Biology. Coach graduated from Avon High School, where he earned All-State honors as a defensive lineman and was also a member of the South All-Star team. He received his BS in Secondary Education/Biology from the University of Evansville where he was a 4-year letterman in football as an offensive lineman. Brian also holds a Master of Education degree. Coach Woodard, along with his wife Jennifer, son Blake, and daughter Allison, reside in Plainfield.
Varsity Cheerleading Coach
Coach Moscoloni graduated from Avon High School in 2005. Michelle received her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University Bloomington in English and obtained a minor in coaching. Michelle is currently an English teacher at Plainfield High School. In the past, Michelle volunteered as a cheer coach at Avon High School and Jackson Creek Middle School.
Varsity Volleyball Coach
Coach Manning is in her first year as Head Volleyball Coach at Plainfield High School. She is a School Advisor at Van Buren Elementary School for Kindergarten through 5th grade. Stephanie played volleyball at Butler University for 4 years where she was a Team Captain, First Team All-Conference, All Tournament Team Purdue Classic and All New-Comer Team. She has 7 years of coaching experience at Lebanon High School, Yale High School, Carmel High School, Circle City Volleyball Club, Blue Water Volleyball Club and the Men’s Butler Volleyball Team. She is married to David Manning and has two children, son Wesley and daughter Grace who reside here in Plainfield.
Varsity Boys' Soccer Coach
Coach Knueve teaches in the social studies department at Plainfield High School. David graduated from Fort Wayne Snider High School and Indiana University with a BS in secondary education (social studies). Prior to coming to Plainfield, Coach Knueve was an assistant for the Avon boys’ soccer team and also taught social studies. David and his wife, Megan, live in Brownsburg with their son Connor.
Varsity Girls' Soccer Coach
Coach McAdams is entering his first year as head coach at PHS. He played soccer collegiately at the University of Evansville where he achieved his Bachelor degree in Education and Biological Studies. Past coaching experiences include Mooresville head girls coach, Assistant Mens’ Soccer Coach at Butler University and U-18 head coach at state power Dynamo Soccer Club in Indianapolis. AJ McAdams has been a Biology Teacher for the past 12 years and is coming to PHS to lead our Project Lead the Way Biomedical Science Program. He has assisted in implementing the program at two other high schools and was the PLTW Biomedical Studies Teacher of the Year for the State of Indiana in 2015. Coach McAdams and his wife, Karen have two sons, Liam (7) and Aidan (4) and reside in Plainfield.
Varsity Cross Country Coach
Coach Hoffman is physical education teacher at Plainfield High School. Joe graduated from Clinton Prairie High School and went on to run cross country at IUPUI where he earned his B.S. degree in Physical Education. Coach Hoffman has also been involved in coaching track at the high school and basketball at the high school and middle school levels. He resides in Indianapolis.
Varsity Boys' Tennis Coach
Coach Reagan is a PTR Certified Tennis Instructor and graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Marian College in 2001. He then went on to receive his Masters of Science in Physical Education in 2006 and is in the process of earning a doctorate in Health & Rehabilitation Sciences. Coach Reagan was a member of the Marian College Tennis Team that advanced to the NAIA National Championships in 1998 and 1999 and was a NAIA Academic All-American in both 1999-2000 and 2000-2001. Coach Reagan has taught professionally for ten years at the Indianapolis Tennis Center and currently teaches full time at the University of Indianapolis. He was the Indianapolis Instructor of the Year in 1999 for the National Junior Tennis League. Coach Reagan resides in Plainfield with his wife and children.

Coach Benge teaches in the social studies department at Plainfield High School. Curt is a graduate of Ben Davis High School and received his B. A. degree from Marian College and his M.A. from Indiana Wesleyan. Coach Benge played four years of collegiate basketball at Carthage College and Marian College. Curt also coaches the girls’ golf team. Coach Benge selected as Coach of the 2004 Jr. All-Star Team and was the IBCA District II coach of the year in 2009. Curt and his wife, Jennifer, live in Plainfield with their 3 girls Kayla, Sierra and Payton.
Varsity Boys' Basketball Coach
Coach Weaver teaches in the math department at Plainfield High School. Andy graduated from Clinton Prairie High School and obtained both his B.A. and M.A. from Purdue University. Prior to coming to Plainfield, Andy spent 15 years as the varsity boys’ basketball coach at Western High School. Andy was the IBCA District II coach of the year in 2004 and was also an assistant coach for the Indiana All-Stars in 2010. Andy is married to Shelly, a teacher at Central Elementary, and they live in Plainfield. Andy and Shelly have 3 children, Bryce, Madison and Michael.
Varsity Swimming and Diving Coach
Coach Johnson is a 1999 PHS graduate and has been the assistant coach in the Plainfield swim program since 2002. Coach Johnson brings a great deal of experience, enthusiasm, and expertise to the sport. He was a 3-time high school state finalist and 2-year collegiate swimmer at University of Louisville and IUPUI. Additionally, Coach Johnson has also been a club coach for the Avon Community Swim Team and Mooresville Aquatic Club. Coach Johnson is in the process of establishing the Plainfield Community Aquatics Club which will operate out of the Plainfield High School Natatorium. Scott is a full-time Firefighter/EMT at Decatur Township Fire Department. He and his wife, Amanda have two daughters, Lainey (4) and Lillian (2) and reside in Avon.
Varsity Wrestling Coach
Coach Nicodemus teaches Algebra II in the math department at Plainfield High School. Paul graduated from Taylor High School and obtained degrees from both IUPUI and Indiana Wesleyan. He is in his 24th year of teaching and coaching in the Plainfield School System. Paul and his wife, Kay, who teaches at PCMS, reside in Plainfield.
Varsity Baseball Coach
Coach McKeon is a business education teacher at Plainfield High School. Jeff graduated from Evansville North High School where he participated in tennis, wrestling, and baseball. Coach McKeon earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Ashford University (Clinton, IA) where he also played baseball on scholarship and went on to receive his teaching degree from the University of Southern Indiana. Coach McKeon was an assistant baseball coach at Evansville Central, Evansville Reitz, and Brownsburg before taking over as the varsity head coach at Plainfield. He lives in Plainfield with his wife Liz, son Gavin and daughter Katie.
Varsity Softball Coach
Coach Beaman is married with three children and six grandchildren. Brad attended William Penn College as well as the University of Indianapolis. Coach Beaman has been the varsity softball coach at Plainfield High School for over 15 years compiling multiple championships and reached the pinnacle of coaching by winning the IHSAA 4A State Championship in 2012.
Varsity Track & Field Coach
Coach Pelkey is a U.S. Government teacher and Social Studies Department Chairman at Plainfield High School. Coach Pelkey has taught and coached at Plainfield for the past 34 years. Coach Pelkey has a B.S. degree in Social Science Education from Indiana State University (1981) and an M.S. degree in Education from Indiana University (1987). He and his wife, Lisa Teeter, live in Plainfield and have two sons: Robert (PHS grad 2011) and Justin (PHS grad 2014).
Varsity Girls' Tennis Coach
Coach Bradley is married with four children and one granddaughter. Coach Bradley has been coaching tennis at PHS since 2007 and has coached in both the girls and boys programs. Keith also has attended multiple clinics and teaches private lessons in tennis. Coach Bradley loves the sport of tennis and plans to continue teaching the sport he loves at PHS for many years to come.
Varsity Boys' Golf Coach
Coach Crays graduated from Vincennes University with his Associates degree in Law Enforcement and Indiana State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. After his formal education, Coach Crays went on to work for Bloomington Police Department for four years and then moved to the Marion County Sheriff’s Department until his retirement in 2012. Coach Crays now resides in Plainfield with his wife, Jerri, and his three children, Noah, Lilly and Claire. Coach Crays has continued to give back to the community by coaching in various recreational leagues and has also coached the boys’ golf team at Plainfield Middle School since 2013.
Varsity Dance Team Coach
Kristy started the Dance Team in 2012 when she realized a need for a dance program at Plainfield High School. The program has grown over the last 3 years and the team enjoys performing at football and basketball games as well as competing. The dance team also hosted a very successful youth clinic this past season.
Kristy has resided in Plainfield for 20 years with her husband Todd and her children, Joey and Leah who attend Indiana University, and Aly who is a freshman at PHS. Kristy has been employed at Brentwood Elementary School in the Plainfield School Corporation for 8 years as a secretary.
