Clarks Creek Teacher Honored Thanks to 5th Grade Student
Congratulations to Clarks Creek 4th grade teacher Cindy McGary on being selected as the Dugan Chevrolet/ICON December Teacher of the Month! Mrs. McGary was nominated by current 5th grader, Kiersten Marten, who was a student in Mrs. McGary’s class last year. Representatives from Dugan Chevrolet came to the school and presented Mrs. McGary with the keys to a silver 2012 Chevrolet Camaro while her students eagerly watched from the sidewalk. She will get to drive the Camaro for one week while Dugan gives her personal vehicle a complete car detail.
“Mrs. McGary fosters a classroom environment that models creativity and respect for others,” says Clarks Creek principal Michael Underwood. He believes that she treats all her students with dignity and respect at all times. “She is certainly deserving of this honor.” He thought it also noteworthy that the honor came from a student she had last year.
