Van Buren students, teachers prove learning can be FUN!

On this Friday morning at Van Buren Elementary, fun was happening in all corners of the school. From classrooms where students chose their own work station and projects, to silly class pictures, to reading buddies, to a music convocation by local band, The Crawdaddies, there was a lot of positive energy.

Students in grades K-2 enjoyed a special music convocation by The Crawdaddies. Why? Well, one member of the band attended Van Buren. Another has a granddaughter who is now in kindergarten. Two others have lived in Plainfield all their lives, and so together, they brought their upbeat music for a quick study break. They talked about their instruments and got everyone (teachers and principal included) on their feet to move their muscles and burn some energy - all to the beat, of course!

Great things are happening in our schools, and great teachers, students and administrators are finding new ways, every day, to make learning fun. You'll find more photos from this morning on our PCSC Facebook page: PCSCQuakers.
