We thought it might be fun to ask our new teachers to respond to some questions that might reveal not only their experience and expertise, but also something fun about them. Here's what we learned!

Mr. Bagg, (pictured above) Brentwood Elementary, Music and 5th Grade Math

  • Grew up in New York; lived in California, Oregon, New York, Florida and now Indiana!
  • College degrees: IU, St. Leo University
  • Favorite hobbies and pastimes: fishing, woodworking, robotics, swimming
  • Favorite memory of school as a student: My first male teacher - he made learning fun!

Mrs. Weathers, Central Elementary, Special Education K-5

  • Grew up in Illinois; lived in Illinois and Indiana
  • Attended Kaskaskia College and Eastern Illinois University
  • Favorite hobbies and pastimes: spending time with her husband and children; reading, travel and spending time outdoors, in addition to creative pursuits
  • Favorite memory of school as a student: free, engaging and creative activities, as well as a 5th grade teacher who was goofy, funny and very laid back.

Mrs. Stultz, Central Elementary, 5th Grade

  • Grew up in Connersville; has lived in Indiana her entire life
  • College degrees: Ball State, Indiana State
  • Favorite hobbies and pastimes: keeping up with two very active kids, running and travel
  • Favorite memory of school as a student: her 3rd grade teacher shared "extras" so she could take them home to use in her classroom of stuffed animals.

Mr. Wheeler, Central, Physical Education

  • Grew up in Plainfield; has only lived in Indiana
  • Attended Indiana University
  • Favorite hobbies and pastimes: playing sports, being active, working out
  • Favorite memory of school as a student: Recess and PE, especially when they played soccer and football

Ms. Siepman, Central and Van Buren Elementary, Special Education K-5

  • Grew up in Plainfield; lived in Indiana
  • Attended Indiana Wesleyan University
  • Favorite hobbies and pastimes: spending time with family and friends, playing tennis and softball, attending and following sports, reading. And she LOVES elephants!
  • Favorite memory of school as a student: free, engaging and creative activities, as well as a 5th grade teacher who was goofy, funny and very laid back.
