The next PTO fundraiser is the Central Elementary Read-a-Thon where students (and their families) are challenged to take a bite of reading for Central!
The Read-a-thon will begin on Sunday, January 15, 2017 and end on Sunday, January 29, 2017. Each student that participates and returns their completed chart with their donations by Friday, February 3, 2017 will be eligible for prizes. (Click HERE for the parent letter and prize list). All students received a Read-a-Thon packet, but the necessary documents are also posted here.)
Here is what students will do to participate:
- Keep track of your reading time each day and record total reading minutes at the end of the challenge on the Reading Chart Bookmark. (Click HERE for bookmark)
- Find sponsors to pledge money toward your reading goals, and keep track of them on the Sponsor Log. (Click HERE for sponsor log). Note: 100% of the proceeds benefit the enrichment of our children's educational environment at Central Elementary!
- Return your Reading Chart Bookmark and Sponsor Log envelope to your teacher no later than Friday, February 3, 2017 to be eligible for prizes.
